BFR Training

Hive Therapy Health & Fitness is a Certified BFR Training Center leveraging BFR training and technology through partnerships with BFR Certified Professionals. BFR (Blood Flow Restriction) is a form of fitness training that combines low intensity exercise with blood flow occlusion that produces similar results to high intensity training. This type of training was initially developed in the 1960’s in Japan using traditional tourniquets which presented some safety risk. Today this technology has come a long way with companies like B3 Sciences revolutionized BFR training using their patented multi-air chamber design so they do not create a tourniquet effect. When you combine ease of use, with safety, and comfort, the result is the most effective BFR Bands for exercise, rehab and athletic performance.

Hive Therapy offers an amazing opportunity to tryout the bands for free through the B3 Journey study program run here at Hive.

This is a fitness class run by Certified BFR Coach, Darren Kelsey with BAND IT Fitness, who lets you use the B3 Bands during the class every week. You can take this 30 day challenge to a healthier new you using the latest in exercise science and technology.

Band IT Fitness is also partnered with Toa Tasi Fit who runs the world first ever step fitness class utilizing BFR band technology. Toa Tasi Fit classes are Polynesian inspired step fitness classes modified to get the most out the science behind BRF. They run at Hive Therapy most every morning and evening and can be found on our club calendar. Lead instructors Aniva, Lyn, Angie, & Darren will take you through a 20 minute fun and energetic class that will get you the results you have always wanted. Personal and Small group BFR training is also available at Hive Therapy through Band-IT Fitness with Certified BFR Coach Darren Kelsey. Darren is the foremost expert on all the science behind BFR and has developed a variety of BFR workouts here at the gym to keep you motivated getting the best results possible.
